My association with Shri Sharad Pawar spans more than three decades. By sheer dint of his untiring work among the masses he has earned a place in their hearts. He has survived many ups and downs of political life. His constructive approach and administrative ability deserve special mention. His multi- faceted personality encompasses a variety of fields, including education, co-operation and sports. His contributfon for the development of Maharashtra will be long remembered. New Bombay is a monument of his imagination. Our country is passing through a critical phase of its history. It is besieged from within and from without.
